Legends - Old & New

Chelsea 1- 0 Newcastle United

Cometh the hour, cometh the man. That man in this case is John Terry. To say that he is a legend at Chelsea is like saying Muhammad Ali was a decent boxer. Captain, leader among men and one of the most committed players to grace football recently.

I shouldnt complain i suppose, lots of teams would give anything to be through to the FA cup semi-final. However we were once again poor in the first half and felt the single goal was enough. Second half was much better but we didnt score and if we are to win the competition, we must improve and play to the best of our abilities.

That sort of performance just wont do against Liverpool who we are almost bound to meet in the Semis or the final itself.
I know i shouldnt moan but if the team plays to their best, then they will win the FA cup but the current approach wont cut it. Come to think of it, Jose and the players probably know this already so i suppose all is well then.

Football is a cruel sport. How is it that one of the greatest players in the last decade and a half has only one medal to show for it. Then turned into a scapegoat and virtually hounded out of the National side by the Tabloid press.

I wonder does he regret not moving to Manchester United.

399 games, 202 goals, 0 trophies for Newcastle.

Tonight Chelsea ended any hopes he had of winning another trophy in his career. Shame his career will end on a low at the end of the season. It would have been fitting and proper to go out on a high.

Alan Shearer - Legend - End Of.
